Recalled earlier on what happened to my snail.  I had accidentally hit her with a sponge scrub while wiping the sides of the tub.  I didnt see what i struck but my hunch is it might be her siphon.  She seemed fine and was still clinging to the side of the tub.  It was only later in the afternoon that i saw her floating and her head had receded back into her already discolored shell.
